Abigail Ilar-Corpuz
MA, LMHCA
I am passionate about helping clients build meaningful, authentic connections—both with themselves and others. My approach is rooted in relational work, where I prioritize creating a space of trust, safety, and vulnerability. I believe that healing happens within connection, and I strive to meet each client with empathy, curiosity, and respect for their unique story.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients in developing insight, emotional awareness, and practical tools for change. My work is collaborative with the client, blending emotional processing with actionable strategies that clients can apply in their own lives. I have a special interest in working with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, and trauma. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents, drawing from my previous experience as an educator to create developmentally appropriate and engaging work.
I view counseling as both a space for reflection and a pathway toward meaningful, practical growth. My goal is to support clients in not only understanding themselves more deeply, but also in creating lasting, values-driven change.
